The Elizabeth Line hosted various sessions, with the support from Samaritan volunteers and special guests at stations throughout the line, during the campaign of Small Talk Saves Lives.
Throughout March stations such as Acton Main Line, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ilford, Romford and Southall hosted station awareness events.
The sessions reached over 1,800 people during the 2-hour station visits with conversations and handouts providing helpful information to take away. Special guest at Southall was local MP Deirdre Costigan, and at Romford Network Rail’s Robert Medley, Designated Project Engineer. Also in attendance were the British Transport Police and station staff, encouraging the campaigns motto of making small talk with one another, which in turn could save a life.
