Southeastern have just entered into a brand new partnership with Rail Pastors to embed them into their suicide prevention and safeguarding work across the network. Over the course of the 3 year project, it is hoped the introduction of the Rail pastors will drive down anti social behaviour and support vulnerable people during the course of their patrols.
Collette Windsor, Trespass and Suicide Reduction Manager for Southeastern states “I’m excited to work alongside Ascension Trust who have such a successful “Street Pastor” presence in our local communities and specialise some of their teams to work on our network as “Rail Pastors”. The vision is, this will help us create a safer railway ensuring everyone is supported and we are better equipped and resourced to deal with safeguarding issues on the network”.
