Real People, Real Stories is the latest awareness campaign supported by National Rail, aimed primarily at men aged 20-59 years old, those most at risk of suicide. Phase 1 launched on 19 March 2019 in England, Scotland and Wales.
The campaign sees men who have overcome tough times sharing their stories to encourage others to seek help by contacting Samaritans. It’s an award-winning campaign – In the Oscars of the radio world @RadioAcademy, Real People Real Stories won a Gold Award for Best Commercial Production Feature with TalkSport Radio. It also won the Campaigns Media Award in the Public Sector and Charities category for our partnership with talkSPORT radio. In addition, it won the Best of the Best and Campaign of the Year beating Carlsberg and Guinness.
